STEWARTS MELVILLE ROYAL HIGH CRICKET CLUB THE INTERNATIONALISTS |
| The present Scottish Cricket Union was formed in 1909 and this date is recognised by many as the starting date for Scottish International cricket. However, some 45 matches were played between 1865 and 1908, by what could be recognised as fully representative sides. Nine players from Royal High School F.P. cricket club played in some of these matches during this period and their appearances are included in this list of Internationalists. |
| D.BARR - MELVILLE COLLEGE F.P |
| Douglas Barr, right handed batsman and right arm fast medium bowler, gained 57 caps for Scotland in an international career which lasted from 1954 to 1970. Along with Eric Thompson, he was one of only 4 bowlers to take more than 100 wickets for Scotland before the recent increase in international cricket matches. |
